Denbigh Farm Wedding Photography – Mared and Sion
Hmmm, you might want to grab a tissue before you take a look at Mared and Sion’s day. There is a lot of emotion, a LOT! Which as photographers, we adore, but have to admit to surreptitiously wiping away the odd tear behind the camera!
I joined Mared at her parent’s house as she was getting ready. The girls busied away inside while Dad, quite nervously, took himself off into the garden to work on his speech.
As soon as he saw Mared in her wedding dress I knew we would be in for a day full of love and pure emotion. The tears flowed and he looked so proud.
Village Church wedding ceremony
It felt like the entire village had turned out to see Mared and Sion get married. The love that the local community felt, really stood out to us. It’s safe to say that the ceremony didn’t pass without some more happy tears. In fact I think the emotion peaked when the children from Mared’s school walked into the chapel and sang. Their voices filled the chapel and I’m sure I’m not the only one who got goosebumps. A beautiful moment that I know will stay with Mared and Sion forever.
After stepping back outside under the most amazing florals from Tulipa Flowers and what felt like hundreds of well wishers, we all made our way to Sion’s family home to get the party started.
Farm Garden Marquee
These two pulled out ALL the stops to make this one of the most stunning garden weddings we’ve seen. The marquee looked incredible and had been beautifully decorated. These two had ALL of the flowers. Just amazing. Mared and Sion had gone for a very natural vibe with navy colours with gold accents. Added to that were the stunning views of the Denbigh valley.
There are so many moments that make up a wedding day, and when we’re putting a wedding gallery together the memories come flooding back. As we hope they do for all our couples as well. One standout for us during Mared and Sion’s day came right at the end. Nearly every Welsh farm wedding ends with the music stopping, and the entire party (in this case a couple of hundred guests) bursting into Welsh choral singing. Add to that, the amazing Matt Hines on saxophone into the mix as well. I live for these moments.
Mared and Sion, we’re so happy you asked us to capture your day. It was a privilege. If anyone else wants to keep up with our adventures then give us a follow.
