Spring jaunt around Bodnant Gardens

February 4, 2021

Oh my, how has it been a year since this engagement session?!!! It feels like it only just happened. Last Feb, before any of the craziness of 2020 went down, Dewi met up with Shaunagh & Ben for a brisk walk around the beautiful Bodnant Gardens.

Seasonal sessions

Often we’ll plan engagement sessions around the seasons. Warm summer evenings, golden autumn days, bracing but beautiful winter sunrises and fresh spring sessions. When Shaunagh & Ben got in touch, they knew they were having a wedding in the height of summer, so for contrast, they decided they wanted their pre-wedding shoot in the spring. We settled on a cold February morning and what a treat it was. Getting lost around the gardens and chatting about our mutual love of the Superbowl (which is only in a few days time and we’re so excited). Honestly you can head to Bodnant Gardens any time of the year and it will be stunning. The flowers and trees reflecting the seasons perfectly.

Postponements amidst a pandemic

Sadly, with everything that happened last year, these guys were one of many of our couples that had to rearrange and replan their wedding day. Every time we got a message from one of our couples it was heart breaking. Wedding planning is supposed to be fun and exciting, not stressful. Right from the beginning of the pandemic, we have made efforts to ensure the process is as easy and painless for our couples as possible. It’s been a huge balancing act but it looks like things are starting to get back on track now. We cannot wait to get back into the swing of things, celebrating with all of our couples.

Two sessions? Why not?

With the postponement of their wedding day, we actually have plans to meet up with Shaunagh & Ben again as soon as we’re back out of lockdown. Photo sessions are an excuse to meet up and have some fun. They don’t have to be a one off event. It’s been a tough year and if you need an excuse to put on an awesome outfit, head outside and get excited about your wedding then let us know. We have so many sessions lined up when lockdown is over. Couples who have already had sessions, couples looking to celebrate their ‘would have been wedding days’, couples who just want to celebrate. Can. Not. Wait.
