It’s sunny at last! Amazing!! That felt like one very long winter. BUT, if you’ll let us, lets transport back just a few weeks, when the mountains still had a little snow and I met up with one of our wonderful friends who was ever so close to having her baby.
This is something a little bit different to what we usually showcase. We are first and foremost wedding photographers. Saying that we adore working with families, young and old. As parents we are oh so aware of how important it is to document and capture your family as it builds and grows. Things change so fast right?!
It’s all about you
OK, so as parents ourselves, we find that our lives pretty much revolve around our girls. It’s not a bad thing and we love it, but most of what we do is for them. When Emma got in touch and asked about having a maternity session we were all over the idea of making it about her. Not her family or partner, but her journey as a mother. It’s such an amazing thing to grow a baby and it’s definitely something that should be celebrated.
Into the mountains
I will always encourage people to pick interesting photography spots over anything that might be…easy. So I didn’t really hesitate to suggest heading into the mountains with Emma when she asked for any spots I had in mind. Hidden above Llanrwst, I’ve been wanting to photograph a session up here for a while. When the last of the winter was coming in, I knew it was the perfect spot for Emma to celebrate her journey.
Squidgers and Squats
For any other parents out there, Emma is actually a pre and post natal fitness coach who runs incredible exercise classes at Squidgers and Squats. Vicky is a huge fan and has been attending for years. Emma’s having a well deserved break to enjoy her new arrival but we can definitely recommend that new mums check out her classes.
Finally, huge congratulations to Emma and her family. Thank you for letting us share your gorgeous photos.
